How is the copy protection scheme working?
For we know how painful and annoying copy protections can be, we've tried to make it as simple as possible for the user.
When you purchase Grooove in our online store, you receive a personal license key that is linked with your email address. With these details - license key and email address - you may activate up to three Grooove installations on compatible computers that you own.
During the activation, Grooove will contact our server and verify the details you've entered. After the validation, which will only take a few seconds, a computer specific license notification will be written on the hard disk. That's all.
May I use Grooove on multiple computers?
Yes! According to the kind license agreement, if you have a personal license key, you may install and activate Grooove on up to three compatible computers that you own.
Does Grooove require an internet connection?
No. However, an internet connection is required if you want to activate the installation immediately after you've received your personal license key.
In case you need to activate Grooove on an computer that does not have an internet connection (cellar studio), you can create an 'Offline Activation Ticket' by using the stand-alone version of Grooove (File > Offline Activation Ticket > Export). Transfer the ticket to a computer with internet access and sent it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In return, we will send you a ticket with which you can activate Grooove on the offline computer. Again, this is done in the stand-alone version (File > Offline Activation Ticket > Import).
Normally, we get back to you within a few hours, but please allow for up to 48 hours for the offline activation to be processed. So whenever possible, you should activate Grooove online.
More detailed information can be found in the operation manual.
Can I sell my Grooove license?
Yes, of course. Please contact us via the support page if you want to sell Grooove. We just need to know the new owner's email address, so that we can link it to the license key. Transferring the license is certainly free of charge.
How do I register my license?
In fact, you don't need to.
When purchasing Grooove, your email address is linked with the license key you receive. That's why we call it 'personal license key'.
